We can’t breastfeed and I’m astonished at all the ingredients in the infant formulas??? I’m not sure what they all are. A doctor told me that non-organic formulas are just as good as the organic ones and to use them because they are cheaper. But they sure have a longer list on ‘can’t-pronounce-ums’ in the ingredient lists.

Do you know of any good all natural/organic brands? Any great websites with deals?

I have a fussy baby who doesn’t take well to the formulas he’s on. I’ve tried a few - and with Nestle Good Start he did okay but ended up screaming after two weeks, and he’s slightly better or Enfamil Gentlease. The next step doc’s say is Nutramigen, but that just kills me to do that to my child! Has anyone been through this and tried organic that worked? Or, at least tried different organic formulas?

Similac Organic’s third ingredient is “organic sugar.” Similac Sensitive’s first and second ingredient are: Corn Syrup Solids and Sugar. Should I be concerned that these formulas are mostly sugar? If anyone has been using these products please let me know how your baby reacted to them. Thanks!

I am asking this because sometimes I can’t find organic fruits, vegetables or meats in the stores. Or sometimes I can find them but they are so expensive that the baby food jars–even organic ones–turn out being significantly cheaper. What is your opinion of the healthier option?
Total Recipe Hound: No, what I meant is that sometimes I can’t find the organic ingredients to make the baby food at home. Gerber food is always available. But if Gerber is always made out of organic ingredients, then why do they have a separate organic line?
