Kaijie asked: When shopping at Wholefoods, i noticed there two types of milk came from brand 365, one has a USDA label Organic and the other one does not, but both of them claimed that no rBGH is used in the feed.
So I am confused about the idea of organic? isn’t it just about the rBGH?

I know asked:
My hubby thinks that although the cows graze freely etc and have organic feed they are still given antibiotics to keep them healthy and that these will appear in the milk.
I thought organic meant no chemicals and organic alternatives to keeping them healthy. We’re unclear. Any organic dairy farmers out there?
Thanks for the usda information, that’s good to know. I’m in the uk, though I assume it will be pretty similar here.

Jess asked:
When I used to buy regular milk it always had an expiration date with in about 2 weeks of the date I purchased it. Now I buy only organic milk and the milk in my fridge right now doesn’t expire until mid December. I’m not complaining, just curious.
Can anyone tell me why?

Does anyone have any insight or reasoning on this? I went to the store and saw the regular milk expired a wek later, normal, but for some reason organic milk had an expiration date of over a month away! Why is this?

Hey I was wondering does organic milk mean the animals are being treated well? Instead of in cruel conditions? I really would appreciate it if anyone knew.

Her asked:
I’m located in New Mexico and trying to find raw milk. I went to the a health store yesterday and all I could find was Kefir and Straus Organic Milk, which I bought. The milk had the cream on top and all that good stuff but is this the same as raw milk? If not, how can I find raw milk?

Shy asked:
I know about the no pesticides and hormones stuff, what I really want to know is why does organic milk have a 6 month shelf life and doesn’t have to be refridgerated? That just seems unnatural to me!
