I want to look over some texts before taking organic chemistry, so I’ll be better prepared. Do you guys know any good books or texts that might help?

yes, try a compendium written by Hendrikson, then one by Wilkinson. If you don’t run away, take up OC! Lara J

how about you look over the text your professor will use, but if you want another text I like Ege’s basic orgo text shiara_blade

Ege’s O-Chem text is very good and has a study guide that shows the steps to get the answers. I also enjoyed Wade’s text as it has reaction summaries at the end of the chapters. l96vette

your best bet would be to browse current books in a college or university book store and decide for yourself which text is appropriate for your needs. There is also quite a lot of material on the Internet, which of course, is free. Strangerbarry

‘The World of Carbon’ by Isaac Asimov, Ph D

Anything non-fiction by Isaac Asimov will be comprehensive and understandable. His Ph D was in biochemistry.

He also wrote a number of fiction books and non-fiction in almost every major category in the Dewey Decimal System notation. SPLATT
